Updated 10 October 2026: this guide focuses on planning a club’s equipment. For dimensions, use the soccer goal size comparison. Age labels alone do not establish a universal goal size.
Start with your competition, not a generic age chart
Write down the country, league, season, team age and match format. Request the organiser’s current goal specification, including the clear opening. U.S. Soccer’s game-format guidance distinguishes formats by age; it does not make England’s youth goal dimensions universal.
Count simultaneous sessions
List the teams training at the same time and the number of activity areas. If equipment can be shared between sessions, allow time to move, assemble, secure and check it. A training target can differ from a match goal, but keep those uses clearly labelled in your inventory.
| Planning question | What to record |
|---|---|
| What must match the competition? | Clear goal opening and current league requirements |
| How many areas run together? | Goals per area and simultaneous sessions |
| Where will the goals stand? | Surface, permitted anchoring and clear space |
| How will equipment travel? | Model weight, packed dimensions and transport access |
| What is included? | Number of goals, nets, pumps and fixing accessories |
Compare models once the required size is known
Review our 12 × 6 ft model, 16 × 7 ft model and 24 × 8 ft model. These are product sizes, not a promise that each qualifies for your competition or is stocked in your country. Read the destination page and confirm availability.
Prepare a useful enquiry
Send the required sizes, quantities, surface and delivery postcode through our school and club enquiry form. Ask for setup instructions and a list of supplied components. Compare the complete setup process, including anchoring and checks; do not treat an inflation demonstration as the total safe setup time.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can two age groups share one goal size? They may share equipment for a planned training activity, but each team’s match equipment must meet its own competition requirements. Confirm both before ordering.
Does a product page’s age recommendation prove match eligibility? No. A suggested training age is different from a league’s equipment rule. Obtain the actual size and other requirements from the organiser.
