A full-size goal measures 7.32 × 2.44 m (24 × 8 ft) between the inside of the posts and from the ground to the underside of the crossbar under IFAB Law 1. Youth goals are not one worldwide size: check the country, competition, age group and season before buying.
Goal size comparison
| Size: width × height | Example use / reference |
|---|---|
| 7.32 × 2.44 m / 24 × 8 ft | Adult full-size — IFAB Law 1 |
| 4.88 × 2.13 m / 16 × 7 ft | England youth example: 9v9, FA dimensions guide |
| 3.66 × 1.83 m / 12 × 6 ft | England mini-soccer example: 5v5 / 7v7, FA dimensions guide |
| 1.83 × 1.22 m / 6 × 4 ft | Compact training or home use; not a universal match size |
The youth rows are examples from the FA dimensions guide published in 2012, not a universal or current-season rulebook. U.S. Soccer lists age-related game formats, but a format name alone does not specify the goal dimensions. Ask your league for its current written requirements. Futsal is a separate ruleset; do not treat a small outdoor goal as automatically suitable.
Before ordering
- Confirm the clear opening, pitch space, safe run-off and permitted anchoring method. Measure the opening, not the outside frame.
- For mixed-age teams, list each competition and how many training areas run at the same time. Select sizes separately instead of averaging ages.
- Check the specific model’s packed dimensions, supplied pump, net and anchoring equipment. Setup time depends on size, pump, surface and completing the safety checks.
- Ask for the quantity per set, destination, delivery quote and available stock. A size appearing in a guide is not a stock or delivery promise.
